Flatiron Frozen started in 2023 after Mitchell watched a TikTok about making homemade ice cream and decided to give it a try. What began as a kitchen experiment quickly became an obsession with bold flavors, generous mix-ins, and making every batch better.
As friends, family, and customers embraced the pints, Flatiron Frozen grew into a family-built New York City brand. Today, homemade ingredients, rotating ideas, and community support shape every new flavor—and we’re excited to keep growing one small batch at a time.

Meet the close-knit team developing flavors, baking mix-ins, running production, caring for customers, and helping Flatiron Frozen grow.
Mitchell Himmel
Mitchell founded Flatiron Frozen in 2023 after a TikTok inspired him to try making homemade ice cream. That experiment quickly became an obsession. He is the creative force behind every pint—developing recipes, researching new techniques, and constantly perfecting flavor and texture. Around here, he’s our Ice Cream Wizard.
Lexi Glicksman
Lexi helps shape flavor development, production, and the overall Flatiron Frozen brand. She makes ice cream and homemade mix-ins, manages social media, answers customer messages, coordinates pickups, and keeps everything organized behind the scenes. If you’ve sent us a DM, chances are you were talking to Lexi.
Julia Glicksman
Julia, founder of @FoodByJules, is the baking genius behind our homemade mix-ins. From cookies and brownies to crumb cakes and cookie dough, she makes everything from scratch and is always dreaming up new ideas that make the flavors even more unique.
Corey Nessim
Corey is our business guy. He built the website, streamlines operations, improves logistics and the ordering experience, and helps brainstorm new ideas as Flatiron Frozen grows. He is also designing and setting up our merch store behind the scenes.
A true family effort: Mitchell and Lexi are engaged, Lexi and Julia are sisters, and Corey helps keep the business side moving as the brand grows.
